The books are in original cloth with embossed decorations to front covers and spines and gilt edging on all three edges of the book blocks.
All books are in very good vintage condition with vibrant gilt decorations to front covers and the book spines. Binding of the books is tight. Book spine of the Red Fairy book is slightly faded and has a small tear at the top as shown. Other spines have slight nicking at spine ends.
Inside pages are generally brights but have visible fox spots and some page margins are slightly grubby with no writing or drawing except for inscriptions and previous owner names on the inside front pages of some of the books as pictured.
