The books are in very good condition considering their age and in original cloth with gilt illustrations to front covers.
Binding is tight, all pages are clean with no writing or drawing except for a book plate on the inside front cover of the The Book of Romance. Gilt edging to pages. There are also foxspots to endpapers, textblock and some page margins slightly grubby. Top edge of The Book of Romance's spine also has visible chips as shown in the photos.
